How is the UF membrane built?

UF membrane is made of fibers (capillaries). The capillary walls are hollow channels which diameter decreases from the outside to the center of the fiber. 

Larger dirt particles are retained on the outer surface of the capillary (filtration surface), while the smaller flow into the tubules until encounter smaller pores (deep filtration).
